Hotel Reservations

 Room rate is $79 per night plus tax.  A one time non-refundable pet deposit of $35 per room is required for guests bringing pets.  Please call 1-888-481-3082 to make reservations.  Let the reservation attendant know that you are attending the Yorkie Angel Patrol Get Together to receive the special room rate.  If you want a refrigerator or microwave in your room, you will need to tell the hotel to reserve the items for you.  There is a daily charge per appliance - please ask for rate when calling for reservations.

Room Mate Coordinator

If you are looking to save expenses and you are interested in sharing a room with someone, please send Terry Powell an email note.  Terry will keep a list of individuals who are looking to share a room.  Please let Terry know whether  you are bringing pets/or want to share a room with someone bringing pets.  Two people sharing a room with pets can additionally save money by splitting the $35 non refundable pet deposit.

1000 - 1100 Seminar - Anesthesia & Acupuncture  by Dr. Egger
(Dr. Christine Egger is a Professor of Anesthesiology at the University of Tennessee.  She is a board certified anesthesiologist (ACVA)
and is also certified in veterinary acupuncture and veterinary holistic medicine.)
 

1130 - 1230 Seminar - GME Update - The Way Forward by Chelle Zulick

1400 - Pet Blessing by Mary Chaves

1530 - 1630 Pet Safety Semina -  Karen McLucas
(Ms. McLucas is a licenced veterinary technician at the University of Tennessee who is the head technician of the neurology service. Karen not only has a degree in veterinary technology (specializing in neurology) but is also certified by the American Red Cross in pet safety.)
 

1800 - Pajama Pizza Party - Gift Exchange and Chinese Auction 
(Bring your PJ's, robes, nightshirts and slippers!!  Dressing in night attire is optional for both humans and pets.  A prize will be awarded to the cutest dog in sleepware or t-shirt.)

Get Together Fees

 The YAP Get Together is an event that is funded by those who wish to attend.  No monies are taken from the Yorkie Angel Patrol 501(c)(3) to pay for this get together.  A $40 fee will be required from each attendee prior to the YAP Get Together.  The $40 will help to pay for the get together room and for the refreshments and snacks that are provided.  You may send your money to:

Gift Exchange - Individuals who wishes to participate will need to bring a wrapped dog related gift.  Please keep the spending limit on your gift between $5.00 - $10.00.

Directions to the Holiday Inn

Take I-40 or I-75 to Knoxville.  Take Exit 383, Papermill Drive.  Turn north onto Papermill Dr.  Turn left onto Holman Road.  Turn left immediately onto Kirby Road.  Hotel is on the left.

From the Airport - Take US Highway 129 North from the airport to I-40.  Take I-40 West to Exit 383, Papermill Drive.  Turn right onto Papermill and go 0.2 miles.  Turn left onto Kirby Road.  The hotel is on the left.  The Holiday Inn does not have a shuttle service to and from the airport.  The cost of a taxi from the airport is $41.00 one way.  Individuals who are flying in may want to check with others who's flights may be coming in around the same time to share the expense.

 Wee wee pads, crates, blankets, toys, dog dish, water bowl, poop bags, Panties, Bellybands, Kotex, Dog medication and dose schedule, Saline solution, Brush and grooming supplies, Nail clippers, Pepto bismol, Dog food, Treats, Harness and leash, Xpen, Shower curtain for under Xpen, Lysol, Clean up rags.

Holiday Inn  - The Holiday Inn has currently being renovated.  The Holiday Inn is very excited that we are returning for a third time.  The staff was very pleased with our first two Get Together and was very impressed with the care that people took with their rooms and their pets.  A BIG Kudo to all who attended las being invited back says a lot about our group and who we are!!!!  We hope we see lots of new faces this year in addition to those who attended out last get together!!
