UT Fun and Educational Day

Our day at UT began at 8:30 am. Dr. Claudia Kirk lectured on nutrition, Danielle Browning lectured on liver shunts, MVD, and Collapsing Trachea. Dr. Claire Eldridge spoke to the Yorkie Angel Patrol on funding. A sloppy joe lunch was provided by Sue Schwarten, followed by a visit from Dr. Blackwell, the Dean, Dr. Krahwinkel and a tour of the UT Veterinary Hospital.

Dr. Eldridge took time out of her schedule to join us. She thanked us for the work we are doing and the monies we have donated to the UT Fancy Fund and the UT Angel Fund.

We were very honored to have Dr. Blackwell come and speak to us during our visit to UT. Dr. Blackwell thanked us for our support to the UT Angel Fund and the UT Fancy Fund and gave us some insight into the University Veterinary Hospital.

Dr. Krahwinkel accepted a donation from Judy Chisholm for the UT Fancy Fund (Collapsing Trachea). One of the donations that Judy brought to UT was from a little girl who had been saving her money up to help pay for the medical expenses of her pet. When the little girl's dog passed away, she gave Judy her packet with all the money she had saved and asked Judy to use her money for Collapsing Trachea. Inside the packet was $2.10. It was a very tearful moment.

UT Patient - Owl!!!!!

This little owl was brought in by an individual who found the owl on the side of the road. The owl has a broken wing and will most likely never be able to fly again.
